I started in film photography. My parents passed down their 1977 Canon A-1 and I took it with me to Europe. I switched to digital in November 2016, when I decided to open my business. My style is documentary photography. I have always been more interested in capturing the natural moments of life versus the posed version. I will direct as needed, but I take more of a hands off approach. My photo sessions are designed to make you feel safe, respected, and confident. I have photographed people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities, many who claim to be "camera shy" or "not photogenic."
Children/Family Sessions: I have worked with children, families, and the special needs community in classrooms, homes, and creative arts workshops for over twelve years. I genuinely love working with children and families, and want these sessions to be a bonding experience. I do very limited posing with children and families, and instead let you and your family take the reigns.
Weddings: This is your day. It only comes once in a lifetime. I want you to enjoy it and participate in it. We'll do some poses, for group shots and for photos you request. Otherwise, it's all in the moment, and at times you may not even know I'm there.
Style/Fashion: Natural lighting is used as much as possible. I will guide the models through poses and movements, usually settling on the image that looks the most natural.
***Workshops: I have been working with children, youth, and young adults of all abilities and personalities for over fifteen years. I am a trained educator and teaching artist, and have worked as a respite/community habilitation provider for children and young adults with special needs.
Awards: My work has been displayed at Museu Cerdà in Puigcerdà, Spain.
